The title of the work comes from a study of the same name by Burrhus Frederic Skinner. Verbal Behavior appeared in 1957 and is a theoretical analysis of linguistic behavior from the scientific point of view of behavior analysis. In their simplicity, the four quotations are exemplary for this approach. The short texts are screen-printed on paper bags from the well-known Düsseldorf chocolatier Heinemann.
