The sculpture is based on a film still from Brian de Palma's horror film of the same title. Mother and daughter meet in an extremely aggressive mood. The area that arises between the two protagonists in the film scene is transferred into a positive form, based on the film still. The abstraction of an energy field between two people is materialized, condensed into an oversized cult object.
Afterwards the sculpture turns into a public comission for a psychiatric clinic in Neuss. The proposal consists of a group of three large sculptures (height: 2.70 meters, 3.70 meters and 5.00 meters). The sculptures should be connected to the existing water supply and serve as a fountain or bird bath.
