DEFAULT CONCEPTS is an installation that has been evolving since 2007, both in physical space and online. As part of the exhibition “Class Relations” at Kunsthaus NRW, this work, which is part of the museum's collection, is being presented in a new configuration. Photographs by Felix Obermaier (neospektiv) document the latest iteration of DEFAULT CONCEPTS at the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia (2019) and thus establish a link between digital and physical space. In 2025, a new, contemporary episode of the web series WWW.DEFAULTCONCEPTS.NET was created in collaboration with Sean Fortune & Frederic Printz (SFFP). As in the previous episodes from 2020, visitors can interact with the content: in episode five, the challenge is to collect all the lemons and find a mysterious aluminum suitcase.
