D\u00fcsseldorf<\/a><\/span><\/p><p id=\\\"infotext\\\">On the occasion of the linguistic conference <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/beyondthewordsconference.wordpress.com\/beyond-the-words-2010\/exhibition\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">BEYOND THE WORDS<\/a>, a series of new works is directly related to the theoretical context of the exhibition. A large number of the lectures during the conference deal with the importance of the context for the interpretation of an utterance. In this way, deductive processes are assumed that are able to create meaningful messages from perceived sounds. When interpreting, we go beyond the uttered words in order to understand what is meant. Interlocutors often have to systematically enrich the contributions of a conversation and thus determine their meaning in a special situation. The neon object ABRAKADABRA relates to both classical positions in conceptual art and the topics of the conference. In most common languages, this word, the original meaning of which is almost unknown, has conveyed the same magical message for centuries that can change the world forever. The series \u201cFather and Son \/ LOST\u201d (2010) combines some recurring quotes from the mysterious US TV series \u201cLOST\u201d with motifs from the \u201cFather and Son\u201d series by E.O. Plauen from the 1930s. The substantial speechlessness of the images is commented by philosophical mainstream. D\u00fcsseldorf<\/a><\/span><\/p><p id=\\\"infotext\\\">On the occasion of the linguistic conference <a rel=\\\"noopener\\\" href=\\\"https:\/\/beyondthewordsconference.wordpress.com\/beyond-the-words-2010\/exhibition\/\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\">BEYOND THE WORDS<\/a>, a series of new works is directly related to the theoretical context of the exhibition. A large number of the lectures during the conference deal with the importance of the context for the interpretation of an utterance. In this way, deductive processes are assumed that are able to create meaningful messages from perceived sounds. When interpreting, we go beyond the uttered words in order to understand what is meant. Interlocutors often have to systematically enrich the contributions of a conversation and thus determine their meaning in a special situation. The neon object ABRAKADABRA relates to both classical positions in conceptual art and the topics of the conference. In most common languages, this word, the original meaning of which is almost unknown, has conveyed the same magical message for centuries that can change the world forever. The series \u201cFather and Son \/ LOST\u201d (2010) combines some recurring quotes from the mysterious US TV series \u201cLOST\u201d with motifs from the \u201cFather and Son\u201d series by E.O. Plauen from the 1930s. The substantial speechlessness of the images is commented by philosophical mainstream.
